Service User Representative Consultant

Role Summary

To act as a representative for service users' views during appropriate meetings either within the service centre or agency wide

To lead service user groups in the service centres

This role will be time limited to approximately one year, after which locality groups will nominate the people they wish to apply for Representative/Consultant positions.

To participate in the recruitment of paid members of staff as agreed with the FS Lead.

Previous or current service user

Interpersonal skills

Ability to work on own initiative, independently and as part of a team

Ability to motivate and support others

Ability to work constructively with a wide variety of individuals in a range of settings

Knowledge

Willingness to develop appropriate knowledge regarding the organsiation, alcohol and drugs, local and national resources

Capacity to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and work appropriately as a member of the team
