Support Group for Carers
The crucial role of families and carers in the recovery of people misusing drugs or alcohol cannot be underestimated.
We're setting up new Support Groups for Carers in Dover, Maidstone, Thanet and Tonbridge to help any adult working hard to balance their own needs with those of someone they care about who has problems arising from alcohol or drugs.
If there is someone in your life who is misusing drugs or alcohol, you are welcome to come to the meetings - the person you care about doesn't have to be a client.
Run by KCA workers, the meetings will give you opportunity to share experiences and include visits from other professionals giving information about substance misuse, treatment options, family therapy, housing and mental health services.
