Training with KCA
KCA's internal training is based around two national standards:
- the Drug and Alcohol National Occupational Standards, and
- British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists accreditation.
Induction Training
New Staff
Staff starting with KCA take our Induction Training package (which runs three times a year) within their first six months of employment.
The package comprises
- Introduction to KCA and the Drug and Alcohol Sector
- Working with Diversity (NOCN accredited)
- Working with Abusive and Aggressive Behaviour (NOCN accredited)
- Drug and Alcohol Awareness (NOCN accredited)
- In addition, practitioners take
- Substance Misuse Assessment (NOCN accredited)
- Care Planning and Record Keeping (NOCN accredited)
