Induction Training

New Staff

Staff starting with KCA take our Induction Training package (which runs three times a year) within their first six months of employment. 

The package comprises

  • Introduction to KCA and the Drug and Alcohol Sector
  • Working with  Diversity (NOCN accredited)
  • Working with Abusive and Aggressive Behaviour (NOCN accredited)
  • Drug and Alcohol Awareness (NOCN accredited)
  • In addition, practitioners take
  • Substance Misuse Assessment (NOCN accredited)
  • Care Planning and Record Keeping (NOCN accredited)

Other training is provided based on a needs analysis of each member of staff which is conducted at annual appraisal.
