Volunteering with KCA

KCA believes that volunteers, including individuals who have experience of using our services, are a major resource and can make a vital contribution in complementing the roles of paid staff.

Our experience has shown that volunteers bring benefits to those with whom they work and our intention is that they should gain from their involvement with KCA in terms of their own personal development.  Our Volunteer Agreement outlines what you can expect from us and what we can expect from you.

Throughout KCA, volunteers work alongside paid staff gaining valuable work experience and taking advantage of KCA's customised and accredited in-house training opportunities.

There are several ways in which volunteers contribute to our work - in administration, in meeting and greeting service users and in working within modalities such as psycho-social interventions, Psychological Therapies, the Horizon Project, Prescribing Services and other drug intervention programmes.  At present, we are looking for volunteers to provide Counselling, Administrative and Duty Work (providing advice, information and meeting and greeting service users) support.

How to apply

First of all, you should look at Volunteer Roles in KCA to see what roles are available to KCA volunteers.  If you are still interested and would like to apply for a volunteer post, complete a Volunteer Application Form and send it to Volunteer Recruitment, KCA (UK), Unit H, Jubilee Way, Faversham, Kent ME13 8GD or email it to volunteering@kca.org.uk.

We interview all our volunteers so that we can find the best match of skills, talents, and interests with voluntary roles.  This process is explained in more detailed on our Recruitment, Selection and Placement page.
